As an Estimator, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of roofing estimating activities. This includes analysing enquiries, preparing detailed tenders, and pricing works competitively. You will carry out site surveys and measurements, working with architectural drawings and estimating software to produce bills of quantities.

Project values typically range from £50K – £500K. You will manage the process from initial enquiry through to final submission and work collaboratively with the wider team to successfully secure projects. The role is primarily office-based, with site visits as required.

Role Objectives

  • Produce clear and accurate tenders, programmes of work, and project cost analysis records.
  • Manage the tender process from enquiry to submission.
  • Support Project Management throughout project delivery.
  • Compile and submit accurate payment applications.
  • Assist the Contracts Manager with work variation pricing.
  • Develop strong product and service knowledge to represent the company to the highest standard.
  • Collaborate with Contracts, Commercial, and Construction teams across the Group.
  • Build and maintain strong customer and supplier relationships.
  • Work closely with the Business Development team to strengthen client partnerships and maximise opportunities

Role Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Estimator within the Construction sector.
  • Degree or equivalent higher qualification (ideally in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Maths, or Accounting).
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and methodical, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, supported by advanced technological competence.
  • Solid understanding of contractual terms and conditions within construction projects.
  • Personable and confident, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships that support business growth.
